Note MeCommissions
Many thanks to all of my recent commissioners...I've had the chance to work with lots of wonderful people with diverse ideas! On top of some basic living expenses, I managed to replace my failing Intuos3 tablet. I grabbed an Intuos4, since the first one served me so very well. (In deference to my fallen tablet...it was giving up the ghost but
still mostly functional after three and a half years of hard use. The surface of it was first worn glossy and then mostly worn
off.)
My prices haven't changed as I still need to get as much practice as possible, sitting at
$10 per estimated hour of work. They start at $20 for 2-hour speed paintings
(sample), though the 5-7 hour range
(sample) has seemed most popular lately. I've put together a
webpage detailing my policies and answering the most common questions I receive (link). At this time I am always open for commissions, and will inform you of where you stand in line when you contact me. My list is currently pretty short (just three left!) although two are big paintings. (I dearly wish I could share them with DA when I'm done, but I don't think either of them will be immediately available out of respect for the customers' needs.)
The
commission page has most other info you may need, including contact details and an order form.
Q&A
Secondly, I've created a
Formspring Account to field questions about how I paint my illustrations.* This is because I'd like to see these questions centralized rather than scattered at the bottoms of assorted comments sections. It's set up to accept questions from non-members, so please feel welcome.
I don't consider myself a better artist than...well, many people at all. However, I have very few trade secrets and what I
have managed to learn is free to anyone who thinks I can help.

*Yes, they're digital. My approach is just more like painting than drawing, and I refer to them as such.
